Rebranding myself:

For this project I decided it was time to update my logo, I wanted to try to capture how I see myself. Something that I could use to put on business cards, website, or resume. But I was just playing with the letters of my first and last name which is CA.

But after talking to a few of my co-workers in the Soapbox ad agency I am known as the sound guy, I really what to get into sound design for my job. So they said to try to do something that is sound worthy. So I started to play around with a soundboard Idea and decided to go with that. So I made a mockup of the idea.

I tried to replicate the soundboard and sound waves in the letters of CA. But I didn’t really like it, and from the feedback, a lot of people said it was too busy. So back to the drawing board so to speak. After the feedback, I decided to get rid of the soundboard itself, and just stick with the sliders, and change the font and well. And came up with this

Back to the Drawing board:

Ultimately I still was not liking it, but it was heading in the right direction. So I decided to keep the typography and came up with this.

The reason being is that I do a combination of video, sound, photography, and graphic design. This one has the sound waves around the CA media, I had to go and create each one of the sound waves separately.

Final Mockup:

I really enjoyed these and decided to go forward and make a mockup of my favorite one. My favorite one is just the circle with the sound waves around it, and the CA media inside. Normally the color will be a sunset orange, it is my favorite color. But I like the modern look of this mockup.
